[The Deadlei Secret]

This has been the hardest subject for me to write about so far-love. Honestly even though most of my manga/anime are in the genre “romance” I haven’t really had much luck in the category myself. So sometimes ill just sit there working on a rough draft and just kind of think to myself “what would a person in this situation do?”. That’s when I go ask for help!

After asking one of my friends for help I now have a good plot line for how Deadlei and Vaan are going to go about, the only problem I have is TIME! Right now im working on a podcast -cheers- and its been a little time consuming, but once we get it up and ready ill have alot more time to work on this blog. I’m really enjoying it.

So here is the first part of Deadlei and Vaan’s relationship after the death of Lord Tal.

“Is this my obligation or is this something I want to do?” Deadlei thought to herself running her slender finger along in the soft sand spelling out her name. It was a little over a year since Vaan proposed to her, and she was in the stage where she began to second guess herself. At the moment her life had no issues or worries. She was kept safe in the care of Caser who was like the father that she never had. Recently Caser created her own wing to the mansion that they lived in which had anything she desired. Her favorite feature was the massive library that he created. Right outside of the entrance was a large study with sophisticated arches with pink silk material floating over the doors. The chandelier hanging in the middle of the room was painted gold with silver candles hovering over the stands. For comfort there were large armchairs with purple velvet seating and stacks of pillows scatters across the stone floor for lounging. No one was physically able to enter the library either without Deadlei’s consent which gave her lots of privacy. The only thing she truly longed for.

Pictures of her and Vaan hung on the walls, and the image that showed in the frame depended on her mood. Often she was able to take herself into the pictures if she truly wanted to escape reality. But this evening she wasn’t in her study. She was at the shoreline in the back of the magical mansion dipping her feet into the icy cold water, and dozing off into the night. The moon was creeping up over the horizon and candles flickered through the large windows, making her new home look alive and mysterious. The beach was where her and Vaan would go often to talk about everything and anything. He was like her savior, the person who made her who she was today.

“Hey…” Vaan said to Deadlei slowly walking towards her, dragging his feet in the sand. Deadlei slowly turned her head and stared at him with her electric green eyes. “I havent seen you latley…” he said sitting next to her and lightly brushing her cheek. “Don’t worry, I’m fine..” she said giving him a weak smile before gazing up into the sky. “No you’re not.” he said laughing silently while twirling his wand between his fingers. “Is it the training?” he asked her hopefully. She merely shook her head. “Its been a many months since you killed Tal you know, and you haven’t said a word about it.” he said looking out into the horizon. Deadlei laughed at his comment and stood up. “I’m not bothered by that at all!” she said smiling. “You mean you dont feel guilty about killing a family member?” he asked her surprised. “Nope!” Deadlei said cheerfully giving Vaan a swift kiss on the cheek before walking towards the house.

“I wish you could tell me how you can go on knowing you killed someone and not be bothered by it…maybe it will make the pain go away..” he said under his breath. “WHAAT?” she yelled out to him standing in-front of the back door leading into the house. “Uhm…nothing…can I go with you?” he said shakily. “Sure.” she said quickly before turning on her heel and disappearing into the darkness of the house. “So much you don’t know…” Vaan thought to himself before following her inside.
