{{The Dark History of Vaan}}

I know this should probably be a whole different category but its relevant alot to what happens in the relationship with her and Vaan. I havent been able to update in a while because ive been so BUSY! But now i have mortime and springbreak is next week so ill be able to add on more then. Also my podcast Roleplay Tavern is NOW on itunes so check it out!

There are four new characters  ive introduced. One being Kai, Vaans older brother. Hes sort of like Vaans rival and they are ALWAYS competing. Kai looks a bit like Vaan but the image i have in my head is alot cuter version of Vaan (and older ^_^). I dont plan on getting rid of Kai for a while. The other is Nicollete Le’cour. She reminds me alot of Fluer Delacour from Harry Potter but it wasnt intentional when I was writing it. It sort of just fell into place. She was a french like accent because she is foreign but her parents dont have that much of a strong accent and i found them as reallly minor characters so i chose not to give them names. Also his little sister Sermia. She is so cute in my opinion and is a little fiesty too! She looks up to her brother and is proud of everything he does even though she lieks to pick on him. Typical brother-sister relationship. Also Vaan’s mother. I havent given her a name either and I probably wont. Even thought she is his mother she is more interested in her well being than he sons,and secretly Vaan despises her because of it. She is very wealthy and propper though and a bit conceited. Typical “blood elf” even though this took place before the high elves converged into blood elves.

I also made a blog for Aiyume my preist http://www.aiyume.wordpress.com its a bit shorter and a change of pace from Deadlei’s. Enjoy!

“Eeek Van!” a tiny voice wailed into the sky. “Oh stop squirming Sermia or ill poke you again! I’m almost done.” he growled back at her with a pin in his mouth annoyed. “You better be nice to me big brother or ill tell mum you tore one of my best dress gowns!” the little elf said obnoxiously nodding her head with every word. “Tell mum what?” Vaan said looking up at her grinning. “Its fixed! A perfect hem!” Sermia said cheering. “I know, I know.” he replied standing up. “Never met a man that could sow now could you?” he said laughing. “A man?!” she said mockingly. “Why your nothing but a fourteen year old boy .” she replied standing on her toes. “And your nothing but a seven year old brat.” he said patting her head before walking towards the mansion that they lived in.

“Is Nicolette here yet?” Sermia yelled chasing after him. “Who knows.” he replied shrugging and looking up into the sky thoughtfully. “I heard she was beautiful!” she said bouncing up and down, and grinning widely. Vaan just nodded uncaringly and continued to day dream. “Well don’t you want to marry Lady Nicolette?” Sermia said jumping in front of him. “I have too.” he said curtly entering the back door of his home.“Vaander darling I’ve been looking everywhere for you!” said a female elf with long flowing blonde hair, wearing a posh royal blue gown, and long red painted nails. “Hello mum…” he said lazily while removing his coat. “Where have you been?!” she yelled at him after getting a quick glance at his attire. “Its almost time!” she said as she began brushing him off with her hands and patting his hair flat. “We were at the daisy fields mum!” little Sermia announced skipping through the door. “Sermia darling you’re a mess too!” their mother said exhausted.

“Don’t worry about it.” he said focusing on his hands before lazily throwing them up, making gold dust float over him and slowly dematerializing the dirt. “Done.” he said discontented walking towards the door. “Not yet.” his mother said pointing her hand towards him. A blinding flash appeared and Vaan’s long pants and blouse turned into a flashy tuxedo, while Sermia’s changed into a pink frilly robe. “Now go.” she said turning on her heel towards the back door. “I’ll meet you shortly.”

Today was the day Vaan was to meet his fiancé Lady Nicolette Le’cour. She was the daughter of a very wealthy high elf and lived hundreds of miles across Azeroth. It was announced at her birth that she was to marry Vaan in order to receive her inheritance that her grandfather left the family after his death, as well as to keep the blood “pure” within the race. Vaan himself lived in a large mansion on the country side, abundant in mountains and flowers. His father died in battle when he was ten, and in his opinion he could have cared less either way. His mother was left with thousands and thousands of gold to support herself and her three children, Sermia, Vaan, and Kai being the oldest son.

Vaan felt rather angry as he stepped through the large double doors only to be greeted by Kai himself. “Oi!” Kai yelled walking towards him after leaning on the railing of the long stairways. “That Nicolette’s a fine catch, I’m almost jealous I’m not the one stuck with her!” he said grinning. “Oh shove off!” Vaan said angrily pushing him to the side. “You need to cool that hot head of yours.” Kai said blowing a cone of frosty air at Vaan with his hands. “I don’t have time for this.” Vaan said shortly heading towards the formal living room. “Oh come on!” Kai said following him. “One quick duel? Or will you wuss out like last time?” he snapped at him. But before Vaan could respond to the door to the formal living opened and he as face to face with his mother, a foreign looking male and female elf, and younger one with piercing green eyes, long flowing bleached blonde hair, and rosy pink lips- Nicolette.

“Greetings young Vaan.” the first stranger said standing up and gave his hand a firm shake. “Pleased to meet you after all these years!” the second one said giving him a warm smile. “Pleased to meet you both…” he mumbled under his breath. “This is our daughter Nicolette.” the first one said to him kindly. Vaan glanced at his mother sitting on the sofa giving him a sharp glare and slowly changing her expression whenever the guests would look her way. “Pleased to meet you acquaintance.” he mumbled in an even lower tone. Then his mother cleared her throat softly. Scowling he grabbed Nicolette’s hand and kissed it lightly.

“Nicky…” her mother whispered in her ear. “zee pleazure eez all mine.” she said with a soft accent as she stood up and curtsied. “Very well. You may sit son.” Vaan’s mother said to him with a forced smile so she could cover up her frustration with her son. Vaan then took a seat across from the others and stared at his feet or at the ceiling while the adults chattered quickly, trying to avoid eye contact with Nicolette, she did the same. After about an hour her father stood up and announced “Alright then, she will remain here the rest of the winter!”. “WHAT?!” they both said standing up at once. “Zees eez a total outrage! I will not zand ‘or theez father!”, Nicolette said complaining. “I ‘ave to feenish my training!” she wined. “You can resume training in the Spring Nicky.” her mother said sternly. “Vaan, why don’t you show Lady Le’cour to her room?” his mother said to him forcing another smile. “Fine.” he said standing up and walking towards the hall way, slamming the door behind him.

“Do you ‘ave to be so vulgar?” Nicolette said to him following slowly behind. “Can you speak right?” he asked her annoyed. “What’s that supposed to meen?” she asked innocently. “Never mind.” he said walking up the stair way. “So you are training in the healing arts?” he asked her curiously. “Yez…I ‘ave been training very hard.” she said quietly. “You look weak.” he said bluntly reaching the top of the stairs and began walking down a long hall way. She followed in silence scowling at him. “Here we are.” he said stopping at large double doors. “Dinner is at 8pm. Be dressed and ready or don’t show up at all.” Vaan said walking away. “I frankly don’t like you at ALL.” Nicolette said to him standing in front of the door. “And I frankly DON’T care.” he said mimicking her before disappearing down the hallway.

Vaan… Vaan…” a quiet voice whispered into Vaan’s ear while shaking him gently. “Nicolette?” he groaned turning around on his side. “Who?” Deadlei questioned.
Ah… never mind.” Vann replied troubled while touching the large fur blanket that was draped around his shoulders and covering his whole body. “It seems we fell asleep here…” she yawned looking at the large grandfather clock that was in the corner of her study. It read 2am. “Yeah…” he mumbled sitting up and mumbled his eyes. “Did you give me this?” he said holding up the blanket. “Mhmm…” she said sleepily closing her eyes. “Thanks…” he whispered at her. There was no response. “Deadlei?…” he asked again peering over at her body on the large sofa. She was lightly breathing, clearly unconscious. “Sleep well…” he whispered kissing her forehead lightly before rolling over and laying on the cushioned ground awake. “Kai….” he thought to himself.
