[Smooth Talker]
its been a while since i did an update of Deadlei so i got around to it. Aiyume is now lvl 70 ^_^. This one is a bit shorter but im in LOOOVE with the character Kai. Hes very smooth talking and sweet and is able to swoon all the ladies and hes sort of like a vampire > = ]. I also once again varified the relationship with Vaan and Kai and it opens up one of the many secrets of the mansion they live in aswell as the past. Enjoy!
Deadlei awoke earlier than normal the next morning to the soft chirping of birds and the hush song of the wind. The sun was barley creeping over the horizon but all the same she slowly stood up from the sofa she was lounging on and crept out the room to avoid waking Vaan. “I haven’t been up this early…” she thought to herself a bit worried after glancing around the hallway she had walked down so many times. Instead of the normal jovial and luminous scene it appeared much more gloomy and depressing, almost as if the mood had been totally altered.
Twisting her golden blonde hair in her hands slowly she slowly bit her lip as she gazed out the nearest window leading out of the mansion and into the countryside where she saw a strange looking male elf. He had long white hair that fell past his shoulders, short pointy elfish ears, electric green eyes, and a calm almost lethal expression. He was sitting under a tree surrounded by rocks and lazily flipped through the pages of a spell book, flicking his wrists ever so often as if to perform them himself.
In Deadlei’s opinion he looked rather beautiful- as if he were a prince out of a fairy tale, and the more she gazed at his graceful movement, the more she became fascinated with him. “So lovely…” she said under her breath as she leaned on the window seal. The male quickly looked up from his book and gazed around towards the mansion. “Did he hear me?” she thought to herself stepping away slowly from the window, then she froze. His eyes came in contact with her own and a devilish smile came across his face. Then he disappeared.
“How oddly peculiar…” she thought to herself as she continued to stroll down the hallway clutching her robe tighter to her chest as the air grew more icy. When she was almost near the end a hand reached out and grabbed her shoulder and spun her around so her mouth was covered. Deadlei was startled. “Hey there beautiful lady.” the same elf from outside the window said to her with a large grin on his face. “I…” she began to say but couldn’t get the words out. He then stepped back and began to glance her over as if trying to figure out who she was.
“So YOU”RE Deadlei…what a shame…” he said shaking his head sadly. “I could have kept you to myself… looks like Vaan has to always get the good ones, even though I’m twice as good looking as he is.” he said snickering. “and who might you be?…” she replied in a small voice. “Kai’s the name.” he said as he threw a spell up into the air that made him levitate, then he took a seat. “Finally figured that damn spell out…” he said to himself, then repeated it again on Deadlei making her hover a 5 feet above the air. “Have a seat lovely.” he said winking at her slyly.
“How come I haven’t seen you around here?” she asked him quizzically trying to avoid eye contact. “Because I’m… more of a nocturnal bloke…and you’re not supposed too.” he said with a British accent rather bored. “I’m not supposed to?…” she said confused. Kai just shook his head and shrugged. “What brings you here then?” she asked him suspiciously. “Master Caser chose me. Just like he chose you little Alleria.” he said smiling. “How did you…” she began to say. “Oh yes I know of the famous Alleria. Believe it or not many people know of little Alleria daughter of High Priestess Kalia and Lord Tal. My my sweetie you are quite a icon, get with the program!” he said teasing her.
“But your mother was killed and then you killed you father. How rather… hilarious!” he said laughing to himself. “But to see Alleria- I mean Deadlei in the flesh. My my your all grown up now and ravishing as ever!” he said rather flirtatiously causing her to blush. “I have a story of my own you know…” he said rather mischievously.
“Do you now?” she said intrigued waving her finger in the air. “Why of course… may I show you?” he grinned at her. “Show me?” she asked surprised. “Naturally.” he said waving his hands artistically in the air creating a shimmering portal like image, then with one quick swoop he waved his hands around his head as of extracting information from a printer and threw it at the image. Then inside the portal appeared what looked like to be a younger version of Kai sitting at a large outstretched table sitting in a tuxedo. “Still haven’t lost my boyish charm.” he said winking at her before focusing on the image harder making the picture move.
“Forgive me ‘or beeng late.” Nicolette said rushing through the door wearing a frilly olive green dress, her hair pulled back in a neat bun, and sparking jewelry dangling from her ears and neck. “You look rather striking miss.” Kai said to her grinning. “Oh how generous!” she said beaming at him. “Don’t you think so brother?” Kai said looking at Vaan. He simply rolled his eyes and stared at his plate. “Lady Nicolette sit by me!” Sermia said smiling and waving in her direction, reluctantly she accepted and pulled up a chair by Sermia quietly.
“So tell me about your training deary.” Kai’s mother said to her trying to strike up a conversation. “I spend zee most of my time praying een a temple with my ‘aster.” she replied excitedly. “Intriguing!” Kai said trying to make himself look amused. Nicolette beamed back at him and began to eat her food easily. “Your accent sounds very romantic. Very romantic indeed.” Kai said to her flirtatiously “Young Vaan here is very lucky to have a fine specimen like you for the…. Rest…of….his….life…” he said slowly mocking him. Vaan threw a nasty look at him from across the table.
“Why I myself have been studying rather hard in the mage arts myself. Little Sermia is to start soon.” Kai said winking at his younger sister. “Oh yes KAI quite the charmer.” Vaan said snickering. “If only his skill in the mage arts was that of attracting women, but I suppose we cant all have what we want now can we?” Vaan said out to him bored. “I resent that little Vaan. For my skills in handling mana and women BOTH greatly surpass that of your own ability. I suppose it just comes natural to me…” he said grinning at him.“Why you…” Vaan said standing up with a fork in his hand ready to strike. “NOW VAAN.” their mother said standing up glaring at him. “You are excused.” she said brusquely to him and began back on her meal. Kai snickered to himself before speaking again “Dear mother, surely he could at least take his meal to his quarters so he wouldn’t starve for the night. That would be a shame.” he said trying to look sincere. “So noble… like you father you are!” his mother said smiling upon his son. “Unlike that one.” he said glancing at Vaan. “Very well. You make take your meal to your room.” she said to Vaan not looking at him in the face. Then Vaan disappeared from the image.
“That’s all I have for that scene sweetie.” Kai said smiling at Deadlei’s fascinated expression. “Maybe we could have another date tomorrow?” he said kissing her hand before breaking the spell causing them to both hover safely back to the ground. Then began to walk away. “W…wait!” Deadlei said chasing after him. “Yes?” he said looking at the time. “That other boy was….” she began to say. “Vaan? Yes that him. Did I mention we were brothers?” he said smiling at her before disappearing. “Brothers?!” Deadlei said to herself shocked, then raced back to her study.
