{{The Brightest Brightwing}}

Im really excited to know that people actually go forth and read my blog! I was like WOW (not WoW) I actually matter! ^_^. Its just fun to know that people actually take the time to read my endless paragraphs or random babbling!

Also im going to be working on starting a podcast! YaY me! So i might have to take a bit more time from blogging and work on my podcast. But oh well.

For those of you who saw my character in game you should notice that her last name is “brightwing” originally it was not. Also Imriela has the same last name, but they werent orginially sister either.. so heres the first half of how she became to be a Brightwing.

Her name was Imriela Brightwing with an attitude as bright as her name, she was a priestess at that and a very valuable ally to Deadlei and it was only fate that they met.

Around that time Deadlei was still in contract with Caser so she still had to be present whenever he summoned her, which wasn’t very often. So she did quite a lot of “independent study”. She carried no money with her for room and board but enjoyed sleeping under the black sheet of sky, embellished in diamonds. Often if she was in need of money she would reluctantly run errands for others in exchange for gold, never letting them see her panic except for one.

Deadlei had a tendency to be late for her appointments with clients in the Undercity, not because she was trying to, but simply because she could never find her way around and would spend a significant amount of time just searching for the right location. One day she got an offer from a shady looking forsaken rogue to go and gather some “supplies” from his home in Deathknell. There was as hefty sum so she accepted. She set off on her own, uneasy about her decision but still kept her head held high. Tirisfal Glades sent silent chills up her spine and she sauntered through the misty woods while the ghostly winds whispered in her ear and waltzed through her golden blonde sheets of hair. Scraggly looking wolves glared at her with blood shot eyes but didn’t dare to approach her, and bats shrieked through the hazy grey sky. She had a feeling someone was keeping her under surveillance but she didn’t dare to turn around. When she reached the edge of Stillwater Pond she bit her cherry lips and closed her eyes walking forward. Then a hand touched her shoulder.

“AHH!” she cried out, whirling around swiftly and holding out her staff in a hurry. “Quiet.” the voice said sharply grabbing her wrist. “You cant let them know that I’m with you.” the voice said again more calmly this time. “But why…” Deadlei began to say until a small hand with golden nails reached out and covered her mouth. “Not here.” she said again before backing away letting Deadlei get a good look at her. She had brownish hair pulled up in a head band, a long slender figure, and wore robes of gold to match her nails, she had a calm expression but if you looked closely you could see sparks crackling in her eyes from excitement.

“Pleased to meet you.” she said whispering softly. “I’m Lady Imriela Brightwing, and you are?” she asked. “Deadlei. Just…Deadlei.” Deadlei replied uncomfortably. “Follow me Deadlei.” she said walking away from the water. Once they were a adequate distance away from the pond Imriela began to speak more clearly. “That forsaken man who offered you business. What do you know of him?” she asked Deadlei seriously. “Nothing except for that he offered me a large bit of gold to retrieve some supplies in a bag from his home.” she said indifferently looking up into the sky. Imriela then looked at a large gash on Deadlei’s cheek and held out her hands in front of her, making a glowing light form from her hands and onto the cut, healing it instantly.

“A priestess…In a place like this?…“ Deadlei thought to herself stunned. “That rogue to whom you agreed to do business for has stolen something very valuable to me- and a lot of Sin Dorei in the region, and has been selling them for quite a lot of gold. I was sent to retrieve the Brightwing family heirloom by my eldest brother.” she said aggravated as she dug her heel in the dirt. “…and you want MY help?” Deadlei asked her mockingly. Imriela nodded and smiled up at her. “Alright.” she replied simply and walked towards Deathknell.

On the way Imriela explained to Deadlei the importance of retrieving her family heirloom, and how without it her family would be deemed insignificant. In return Deadlei enlightened Imriela about her devious journey to escape her old existence in place for a new one. At that moment they finally connected and slowly began to have more of an understanding for each other. Deadlei felt as if she had a friend.

When they reached Deathknell things became more silent as they observed the isolated terrain. There stood a lonely abode with boarded up windows and glass shattered all around the mounds of dead grass and dirt. Stepping up towards the open space where the door once stood, Deadlei glanced over at Imriela nervously. “What do you suppose we do?…” she said shakily while listening to a soft gurgling noise that seemed to be coming towards them. “I suppose we must have to fight what ever is in there.” Imriela replied calmly keeping her head high. “Then we must…” she replied taking a step into the house.

The Deadlei Redemption.

I do love making puns about Deadlei’s name, it will take a while before it finally gets old ^_^. When I was writing this chapter I really didn’t think much of the behavior of my character, but when I was typing this up (in the middle of a quest sadly) I began to realize that she was throwing a creepy-magic-emo-tantrum in a way. She rocks!

I think that in this chapter is when Deadlei finally gets even with her father and shows him that he cant play with destiny. I also sort of envy her because she is the exact opposite of me in alot of ways. Im very excited writing about her though and I cannot WAIT to write more about Vaan. He is very gorgeous by the way ^_^, what a lucky girl…

The day of her 18th birthday Caser created a portal to lead her to the old palace because of the magical barrier that was placed in the area forbidding people to enter. The second her tiny feet touched the lush, green lawn. She deeply inhaled the crisp air and closed her eyes. Absorbing and familiarizing herself with her once-known surroundings. She began to feel feelings of loneliness and sadness, while she reminisced on the past. Then she began feeling angry and frustrated. “My prison!” she yelled into the air and walked towards the front door of the home, charging up fire and crushing fire as she went.

Once she stood on the first step of the hose, she glanced at the door and began to smile. She quietly focused and aimed at a spot on the porch. Then she skillfully threw up her hands as fire began to creep out from the ground and spread like a virus from that direct spot burning everything in its path. Then she hurled a fireball at the gold plated door and blasted it open.

Mischievously she smiled at her bit of handy work, the fire now creped inside the home and began burning the furniture. Ignoring the rest of the house, she closed her eyes and teleported herself up the stairs and into her fathers chambers.

Tal came face to face with his daughter for the first time in a year, there was terror in his eyes but when he spoke he remained calm. “What is it you want Alleria?” he asked her curtly. Without talking she pointed a blood red pained fingernail at the diamond necklace around his neck. “Come take it then.” he said while he grabbed a sword and looked at her straight in the eyes.

Alleria smiled as fire began growing out of her fingertips. “Can you fight me with out magic….weakling.?” Tal replied beaming at her. This in itself made her very angry, more than she was before as she yelled at him. “THIS IS WHAT I KEPT INSIDE ALL THESE YEARS!” as all sorts of objects began to explode and shatter into tiny pieces floating in the air.

The walls began to slowly close in and the ceiling began to apply pressure the room almost as it it were about to fall. Scared Tal ran towards the door, but as he reached the entrance he noticed a barrier making him unable to exit. “Come here.” she said annoyed pointing a finger towards the back of the room. Against his will Tal floated towards that area and dropped to the hard ground in a heap .

“How dare you run!” she said grinning as the chandelier that hung over his bed came smashing to the ground. , scattering crystals everywhere while they bounced off the ground and floated to the air. Then Tal grabbed a sculpture and hurled it at his daughter, idly she held out her hand in front of her making the object freeze in mid air, then she tossed it aside. “I’m bored with you.” she said lazily and teleported behind him “I believe I’m just too deadly…” she whispered in his ear before slipping a dagger out of her pocket and thrusting it in his back.

“Deadly…” Tal said before falling to the ground dead. Then Alleria snatched the necklace from around his neck and held it in the palm of her hand. “Deadly…Deadlei… I like that…” she said optimistically while walking back to Caser’s dwellings.

Three years later… (along with notes from me!)

I feel really enthused now to know that everyone else’s blogs are comming along great. I just also realized yesterday that im probably spending more time in WoW related things than I am in my real life. There just isnt enough hours in the day I suppose. I also have to make alot of decisions and prioritize some of my goals, i know I have to get my grades up because they are…not too god ^_^”. But also I  have to make the decision if I want to get into modeling, but at the moment its probably a bit too much.

Future plans for my blog though is to finally finish up the background story of Deadlei or atleast alot of it so I can focus on more current things. Maybe I can switch inbetween and do both? After all it is my blog! I also thought about making posts or stories about the other WoW bloggers so we have some kind of a “link” I should say in a way. Im also planning on adding more dialogue to someof my “stories” even though im normally tired when I write them. Even in game im sometimes typing up different things for my blog or forum posting or something! I know that I should enjoy the game instead of everything revolving around it. Im just always getting in over my head it seems..

Anyways. Heres a little chunk of what happens right after Alleria (Which is Deadlei’s former name- No relation to Alleria Windrunner {I didnt know that there was already an Alleria…i just loved the name}) leaves her home with Vaan. Comming next is going to be when she slays her father. Im not sure what im going to do with Vaan yet, but I also have to explain how she got the name Deadlei… how troublesome…

At the age of seventeen Alleria had fully matured in everyway, personality wise as well as magically. She as a young women so to speak and men found her very attractive, which for them probably would lead in death later on. By then Alleria’s once grey eyes were now a lime greenish color, but in order to ease her father she would often charm them so that they resembled her “younger” state. Lord Tal was oblivious to the fact that his daughter was quite dangerous, and he chose to ignore any signs she might have shown.

During the day Alleria would try on hundreds of robes in the mirror, which stretched fifty feet up the wall and let off a large reflection. As well as brushing her long golden blonde hair with a diamond embellished brush. If she wasn’t doing that she would secretly experiment which spells and charm objects in order to make them dance through the air.

One night during her and Vaan’s meeting he told her that if she wanted to exceedingly amplify her magic, that he could extract the mana that was stored into the diamond pendent that her father sported around his neck. In response she said that on her 18th birthday she would retrieve it. That same night Vaan proposed to Alleria, she accepted.

When Alleria returned home her father was sitting in the lobby with an infuriated expression on his face. He held a diamond ring in his hand- the wedding ring that Kalia left behind her, and whenever it would get a few feet of Alleria it would sing softly. It was set under one of her charms. Tal shouted at his daughter for using magic and told her to either let him extract her remaining mana, or to leave the dwelling. Alleria turned around on her heel and left the home with Vaan.

For a few days they traveled until they reached their destination. It was a small shack in the middle of a peculiar forest. “Were home!” Vaan said proudly as he drew back and woolen blanket. Alleria was reluctant to enter but eventually followed. Inside though was a long stone hallway with hundreds of doors. Objects were floating in mid air and almost dancing along to a faint tune. Chandeliers gleamed brighter then ever and crystal dust drifted to the ground making the hallway shimmer. Vaan turned to the 15th door in the hall and opened.

There stood Vaan’s master who called himself a Blood Elf. He had shocking distinct green eyes. Raven black hair, pointed elfish ears, and faint marking around his face and arms. He introduced himself as Arch Mage Caser (Case-urh). He promised to teach Alleria further in the fire mage arts and in return she would give him his loyalty for 3 years.

For a year Caser trained Vaan alongside Alleria and Vaan directly. Then after he felt that she was ready, he assigned her a mission to test her loyalty. It was to slay her father and retrieve the necklace in order to hone her powers. Also she had to achieve it on her own.

Deadlei’s Childhood (Part one)

•March 6, 2007 • 1 Comment

*Blah this took me like an hour to write out so far, so its still a bit etchy… and I could have done ALOT better on it in my opinion.. but here it is part one of Deadlei’s childhood. Ill add the rest after i log off WoW ^_^)

“You can be great.” her mother would always tell her before tucking her in at night. “I believe in you Alleria.” she would always say before closing the large double doors to her room… her mother.

Kalia (Kah-lee-uh) was her name, she was a powerful and respected priestess, a high-elf at that. Some would claim that she was the most beautiful in all of Azeroth. She was always smiling and cheerful, and tending to the needy. A woman who had a character of gold some would even say. Eventually someone stole this untouchable priestess heart. He was a dignified paladin by the name of Tal. Simply because of his character Tal was always cautious when it came to the use of mana, but willing when Kalia would practice magic, even in the healing arts. Regardless he loved the young priestess and was married to her a month after he proposed. They moved into a lavish palace with servants, diamonds, and gold. They lived the life of royalty minus the crown, along with being happy and in love. Nothing could have stood in their way some could say.

A year later Kalia gave birth to a baby girl named Alleria, she had golden blonde locks, rosy pink cheeks, elfish ears of course, with crystal eyes were foggy and animated. A very charming baby some would say.

At the age of two High Priestess noticed some special development in her daughter. She was already fluent in their sacred language and was often caught charming objects for her own entertainment. Secretly when Lord Tal was away Kalia would also teach little Alleria how to generate mana into her hand, in hope that eventually her magic could be fully developed before she was eighteen. Alleria was a prodigy.Three years later young Alleria was able to explore her surroundings outside. Whether it was gathering flowers in the lush garden to exploring caves full of critters, she always enjoyed herself despite her awful sense of direction. In spite of that she always found refuge around a enclosed area by a shimmering lake where she would always skip stones, gather Daisies, or sing.

One fateful day when Tal was out on a mission Alleria gazed out of her bedroom window lazily. She just so happened to spot a stealth like figure moving through the trees and instantly it captivated her as suspicious as it looked. Quietly she slipped out of the house and followed the figure which led her towards the lake.

As Alleria looked around frantically she heard a soft breeze in the trees and she quietly gazed into the water. Behind her she saw a elf with blue skin and long blue hair to match along with foreign marking and glowing white eyes, a Night-elf. Startled Alleria spun around and glanced at the Elvin women and screamed.

Kalia heard her daughters cries and rushed out towards her. Once she got halfway towards her distressed daughter the Night-elf transformed into a bear and charged towards her. Doing everything she could possibly think of, the holy priestess shielded her daughter and began to fight back. The druid naturally had the upper hand advantage and knocked Kalia towards the ground. At the point she told her daughter to run to the palace and call for Lord Tal. Unsuccessful of finding him, she awaited for his return.

Hours later he returned home only to hear Alleria’s cries for help, when they finally reached the spot where the priestess was to be her body was gone and all that remained was the large diamond wedding ring that laid weightlessly floating in the air. Tal grabbed the wedding ring out of the air and stared at it in the palm of his hand. Then he dropped to his knees and wept.

Discouraged, Tal forbid his daughter from ever performing magic in fear of her eventually reaching the same horrible fate that her mother experienced. A few more years went by and he came to the realization that he was unable to fully prevent his daughter from using mana, for it was in her blood passed down by her mother as well as his own. When Alleria was at the age of 10 her mana had fully developed and she was able to have small flames form from her fingertips (Normally it would have taken Elves around their late teens to accomplish even that little a feat.) So Lord Tal came up with a solution. He took one of the diamond necklaces that his wife used to wear and drained all of his mana from his own body and stored it into the diamond, then when his daughter was asleep he performed the same thing on her, making it impossible for her to use magic… or so he thought.

After Alleria found out the next morning she was infuriated and refused to speak a word to the paladin until her mana was returned. But instead of returning it to her he tried to find other ways to show her magic. He showered her with jewels, silk, and servants who would attend to her every whim. Along with gnome made robes of the finest material (At that time the now “blood elves” were with the Alliance) with feasts every night to wear them too. I suppose for a few years this made his daughter less angry along with a bit of a conceited streak. Even though she had everything she desired, still did she long for a friend, and that’s when she met Vaan.

At the age of fourteen Alleria finally got bored of wealth and came to the realization that ultimately that would get her no where in life- the life she wanted to live anyways of being free and selfless. She got a special “invitation” from a young elf who had silver blonde hair and a handsome face to match. He said he was sent out by his master to train her in the mage arts. Normally she would have been more cautious, but once she gazed into his cloudy green eyes she simply couldn’t resist.

The first they met in a deserted tower in the West Wing of her home. Which to where the flaw in Tal’s plan came to be. Alleria explained to Vaan that her mana was drained from her body four years ago, and Vaan merely smirked. He explained to her that mana flowed within her veins and with practice she could be able to extract that and turn it into power. Then he focused on his and conjured a glass with a clear liquid inside that shimmered and let out purple steam, with a smile on his face he handed it to her to drink. Reluctantly she accepted. After she finished the potion he showed her how to revive the lost mana by casting a spell of regeneration by one-hundred and fifty percent. Alleria caught on quickly and instantly copied what he had just did. In disbelief that she gained back her magic abilities, she focused on her hands and wished to make fire come out of them. After her first attempt failed she lazily threw up her hands in frustration. From that motion a massive fireball formed an crashed into one of the large armchairs that sat in the corner of the room. Vaan laughed at her shocked expression and then extinguished the flames with a frost cone. From that point on a special bond formed between them, and every night from them on to the next three years they would sneak into tower in the west wing of her home and train.

One of the few times im going to just put a random comment…

So this is the beginning of my WoW Character blog.. exciting right? ^_^”. I’m  just mainly going to at first write all of the history about my character as if comes to me. Some of what I have written out still has to go through the process of editing and what not, so that will come within the next few days hopefully where i can begin talking about when she was younger. (I’m still trying to make sense of a lot of it though!)

Deadlei is a level 20 (as far as i know >_<) blood elf mage on the Earthen Ring server. Shes a member of the alea iacta est guild since level one and is slowly growing in power.

When i have the time ill get A LOT more of the imaging and effects done with but for now I’m just going to use the default stuff temporarily.

So for now i’ll just end it with this and i’ll add the rest later.

Happy Reading! ^_^
